Pepper - chile Mulato
This almost black Mulato chile have a sweet, almost chocolate flavor,
it lend a smoky, licorice, aromatic flavor to your dishes and is a good
choice for moles.
The Mulato is similar to an Ancho, but the Mulato has more of a smokey
flavor. Commonly used in Mexican Mole Sauces.
The heat scale of the Mulato chile is between 2-4 on a scale of 10 or according
Scoville heat units 500 - 2,500.
Suggested Use:
Mulato Chiles have a mild to medium heat. Great in Mexican sauces,
salsa and soups. Try them in American dishes for a little heat.
